Welcome To Greenwich Field Hockey Club!

We are one of the biggest and strongest clubs in the northeast. Based in New York City we have over 300 members covering all age groups and skill levels. If you are looking to play Hockey in or around New York City you’ve come to the right place. Founded in the 1970’s the club has been organizing pick up hockey and entering teams into the North East Field Hockey League for over 30 years. Our men’s and women’s teams have a long history of success and have won the NFHA league trophy, the playoffs trophy or both for the last 5 years.

Pickup Hockey

The heart of our club and the best way to get involved and meet other players is at pickup Hockey which we run almost all year round. Pickup is 5-7 a side Hockey played in the city, on Astroturf. In the summer months we play at Trinity High School on the upper west side and in the spring and fall we play in the West Village. Cost's range from $10 - $15 per session and the details can be found here on the web site

League Hockey

We have two men’s and two women’s teams playing in the NEFHA league and we are always looking for new players. The league is in two sections and runs from September to November and then March to June. We have players that range from ex international through to beginners. If you are interested in playing feel free to contact the captains directly. Their details can be found in the contacts section of this web site. To play in the league you need to pay club dues which are $65 per half season or $120 per full season and become a member of the US Field Hockey Association.

Becoming a club Member

Becoming a club member is easy. Click on the join our mailing list menu item and fill in your details. The club sends out weekly updates covering pickup dates, league details and social events. We also have a facebook group which has club information posted regularly, here.

Social and Tournaments

Our club has a lot of social members and organizes regular nights out. We also try to attend at least three tournaments each year and have played in Barbados, Florida, Palm Springs, and Boston in recent years
