[su_spoiler title=”Who can play for Greenwich FHC?” open=”no” style=”default” icon=”plus” anchor=”” class=””]
Greenwich accepts all players, whether they have a background of playing hockey or not. There is no minimum skill level requirement and we welcome players of all ages. We run both outdoor and indoor pickup sessions that offer a non-competitive playing environment and have 2 mens and 2 ladies teams entered into the North Eastern Field Hockey Association (NEFHA) competitive hockey league. [su_spoiler title=”Where does Greenwich FHC play?” open=”no” style=”default” icon=”plus” anchor=”” class=””]
We have two locations were we play. During the spring through to fall we play outdoor pickup hockey at JJ Walker Park in the West Village and in the winter months we play indoor pickup hockey at Bank Street College of Education in the Upper West Side. You can find more information by visiting our pickup hockey pages.

[su_spoiler title=”What kind of social events does Greenwich hold?” open=”no” style=”default” icon=”plus” anchor=”” class=””]
For a drinking club that happens to dabble in hockey, Greenwich isn’t short of social events! After almost every pickup session, you’ll find many of us socialising at the local bar and throughout the year we have specific social events and tours.

[su_spoiler title=”Do I need a membership to join/how do I join Greenwich FHC?” open=”no” style=”default” icon=”plus” anchor=”” class=””]
To join in on our pickup sessions and socials, Greenwich doesn’t require memberships or dues. However, if you feel like you’d like to step your hockey game up a level and join one of our 4 league teams, then our dues are: $90 per half season or $160 per full season (we also have a student rate).

[su_spoiler title=”How does Greenwich differ from my old club in Europe/South America/Australasia?” open=”no” style=”default” icon=”plus” anchor=”” class=””]
Many of our members come from great hockey playing nations, so we’re sorry to say, that here at Greenwich there are a few major differences. Greenwich – despite praying every night to the hockey gods – does not own it’s own club house or pitch. We rent our JJ Walker Pitch from the City of New York and the North East Field Hockey Association rents a water based astro from Columbia University.
We are lucky to hold the only field hockey pickup session in New York, however, these are social events where players or all abilities are welcomed. We are working on incorporating more “training” for our team players, however, this is still a work in progress.
