After a long break Greenwich stuttered back to life. A frigid afternoon and suspect fitness meant a low quality game but Greenwich were passing the ball better but also coughing up chances with mistakes. Maybe three at the back leaves us too threadbare with the legs that we have but despite bossing the midfield, the Islanders kept nicking the lead via missed traps and turnovers.
Encouragingly Greenwich never went away and the shape just about held; goals were coming from decent transfers and breaks but only enough to peg the game back to level. In fact the first time the Reds took the lead was with less than 10 mins to go from an end to end move with Mick’s cross finished handily by Antoine. So Greenwich left with the points but plenty of work to do with a 4-3 win.
